Chœur la Grâce from DR Congo

The Chœur la Grâce from DR Congo is looking for concert places and partnerships with choirs in Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, or neighbouring countries for their tour in May 2018. They can offer five different programs: Congolese or African traditional and folk songs, Humanités des Humains (French), Negro Spirituals from Congo, Zaburi (new creation). 1ST ASIAN PACIFIC CHILDREN’S CHOIR ASSEMBLY IN OKINAWA

ACCADEMIA PIERGIORGIO RIGHELE, A BETTER PRACTICE IN CHORAL CONDUCTING EDUCATION

Four years ago in Verona, Italy, the regional choral association ASAC with the support of FENIARCO started a new Academy for Choral Conductors. Since then, 60 conductors have been trained through an intensive program of master classes, regular courses and seminars. The Academy offers three different levels of training: beginners level (15 conductors), intermediate level (15 conductors) and master level (8 conductors). Every course includes one or two training weekends per month during 8 months. Some of the conductors trained here are already active with their own choir. No doubt that you’ll see them on stage soon! CONDUCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS

Tim Sharp (ACDA) and Thierry Thiebaut (IFCM Board Member and A Coeur Joie International President) took "Conductors Without Borders" and the programs of ACDA to Kenya in October. Hosted by Kennedy Okeyo Wakia, Tim and Thierry worked with a variety of choirs and many conductors, introducing them to the work of IFCM.

ACDA SECOND NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON CHORAL MUSIC June 12-13, 2015

The American Choral Directors Association will host its second National Symposium on Choral Music focusing upon the music of Latin America. In Austin, Texas, the Symposium will explore the Latin American both in the Colonial and modern periods. For additional information visit the “Conferences” page at www.acda.org.
